Mold Testing
What is a mold inspection, and why do I need it?
Health is the number one concern when mold is seen inside a home. Mold can cause a stuffy nose, sore throat, coughing or wheezing, burning eyes, or skin rash. People with asthma or who are allergic to mold may have severe reactions. Immune-compromised people and people with chronic lung disease may get infections in their lungs from mold.
Mold will grow in places with a lot of moisture, such as around leaks in roofs, windows, or pipes, or where there has been flooding. Mold can also grow in dust, paints, wallpaper, insulation, drywall, ceiling tiles, wood products. carpet, fabric, and upholstery.
What services do we offer?
We do a full home inspection from the ground level up and if mold is present we offer remediation services to remove and mitigate future mold issues. If mold is not seen on our initial inspection and we determine there is a high probability of mold currently in the home we will use testing kits to determine where the spores are currently growing. Our tests involve taking air and surface area samples and sending them out to certified labs for testing.
